Update: Abdul Majid

According to his mother, Ms. LaBorde, who spoke with him 11-1-13:

He can hardly walk, and CANNOT climb stairs. Because of this, he is unable to get to the visiting room, and cannot receive visitors. He was given a cane that is too small for him, which requires him to bend over awkwardly to use it and thereby worse his pain / condition. Adjustable canes are “not allowed”… He is supposed to get an operation “sometime this month,” but we don’t know when. He can’t call her as much because walking to the phone is difficult, given his condition.

She said that Bashir Hameed (Rest in Power), his co-defendant, was never given the required convalescent time after chemo treatment, but was immediately remanded back to his cell after the procedures.
